UX Research Advisor Role at Dscout - Career Growth in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This Customer Research Advisor role at Dscout is a strong entry-to-mid-level position for professionals looking to build dual expertise in UX research methodology and customer success — a rare and increasingly valuable combination in the tech industry.
Compensation: At $75–80K, this is roughly at or slightly below market for a customer success/research advisor role in major US tech hubs. Austin-based candidates will find this more competitive than SF counterparts. The added equity, bonus, and benefits package meaningfully supplements the base.
Career development signals are strong:
- Exposure to world-class clients (Google, Amazon, JP Morgan) builds an impressive portfolio of enterprise experience early in a career.
- Working at the intersection of product, sales, and research develops T-shaped skills highly sought after in UX, CX, and product management roles.
- Series C stage means the company is past early volatility but still growing — good timing for career advancement before headcount stabilizes.
Green flags: Transparent company culture, robust benefits (12 weeks parental leave, 401k match), education stipend for continuous learning, and a recognized Forrester Wave leadership position signal organizational maturity.
Potential considerations: The 1–4 year experience requirement means limited upward mobility without a clear promotion path articulated. Client-facing roles at research platforms can be demanding — managing multiple projects across diverse stakeholders requires strong boundaries to maintain work-life balance.
Overall, this is an excellent launchpad for a career in UX research, CX strategy, or research operations.
At Dscout, we're building the most flexible and powerful UX research platform on the market—trusted by the world's top brands in finance (JP Morgan Chase, Intuit, Charles Schwab, PayPal), healthcare (Aya, Headspace), consumer goods (Keen, Verizon, Target, Northface), and tech (Google, Amazon, Facebook, Meta, Spotify, AirBnB).
