Career & Market Insight

This is a high-impact senior individual contributor role at the intersection of two fast-growing domains: cloud marketplaces (AWS, Azure) and cybersecurity. Demand for professionals with hands-on hyperscaler co-sell and marketplace transaction experience is surging as more enterprise software companies shift distribution through cloud marketplaces.

Compensation context: No salary range is disclosed, but senior cloud alliances/marketplace leads at cybersecurity-focused SaaS companies typically earn $160,000–$220,000 OTE (base + variable) in the U.S. market, depending on region and company size. Keyfactor is a well-funded, PE-backed growth-stage company, so packages should be competitive.

Skills you'll develop and monetize:

  • AWS Marketplace and Microsoft commercial marketplace transaction mechanics — a niche, high-demand skill set with very few true experts
  • Co-sell program management (ACE, Microsoft co-sell) — directly transferable to any SaaS or cloud vendor
  • PKI, machine identity, and cryptographic security domain knowledge — a growing area as AI and IoT expand attack surfaces
  • Cross-functional influence without authority — critical for senior IC and director-level career progression

Green flags: Entrepreneurial culture with autonomy, "Second Fridays" showing real investment in employee wellbeing, strong DEIB commitment, and a mission-critical product category. Watch for: The 20–40% travel requirement is substantial for a remote role — clarify whether this is truly consistent or peaks around major events. Salary transparency is absent, so negotiate proactively.
