Healthcare Fraud Analyst - Palantir & FWA Skills in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a high-impact, mission-driven role at the intersection of federal healthcare analytics and fraud prevention — a niche with strong and growing demand. Supporting the VA's "War Room" on a high-visibility initiative tied to Executive Orders signals this is a well-funded, strategically important engagement.
Career development highlights:
- Palantir Foundry/Gotham experience is a rare and highly marketable skill set, increasingly sought in defense, intelligence, and federal health agencies.
- Building expertise in FWA analytics, anomaly detection, and network analysis positions you well for roles in payment integrity, insurance fraud, and federal compliance — all growing sectors.
- SQL + Python with healthcare claims data (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10) is a strong, portable skill combination valued in both government and commercial health tech.
Compensation context: No salary is listed, which is a mild red flag for transparency. For a consulting role requiring 2–5 years of federal healthcare data analytics experience, market rates typically range from $90,000–$130,000 annually depending on location and clearance level. Government consulting firms sometimes underpay relative to commercial tech — negotiate accordingly.
Green flags: Clear scope, measurable QASP targets (PPV benchmarks), and advisory-only role with no direct enforcement liability. Potential concern: "Essential Personnel" designation and weekly recurring deliverables may create pressure during high-priority fraud investigations. The CFE certification path is a strong optional credential to pursue in this role.
