$44.95

Quick-connecting and quick-adjusting, the clutch gives you access to your camera’s controls by quickly cinching down when you need security. Hypalon exterior, microfiber pad, and aluminum adjuster hardware is ultra-durable and inspired by high-end climbing gear. Attaches to your camera at 2 points: your camera strap mount (via a reinforced Hypalon loop) and your camera tripod mount (via our low-profile Arca-compatible Standard Plate). Clutch can be used alongside other Peak Design straps (sold separately) as well as the Capture Clip (sold separately).

Peak Design Clutch Camera Hand Strap — Secure, Rapid-Access Grip for Working Creators

The gist: A professional-grade wrist strap that adds security to in-hand camera carry during shoots — cinch it for a locked grip when raising the camera, release for relaxed open-palm carry between setups, all without removing the strap or touching another adjustment.

  • Instant cinch-release adjustment: One pull tightens the wrist grip for shooting; one release opens it for carrying between setups — faster than threading or unclipping a traditional wrist strap between every shot during a busy shoot day.
  • Two-point camera attachment: Secures to both the strap lug and the tripod socket via the included Standard Plate — keeping the camera attached even if one connection is stressed, important when working in a crowd or moving quickly between setups.
  • Ultra-durable Hypalon exterior: Synthetic rubber used in technical outdoor and climbing gear — grips reliably in sweaty conditions, holds up over years of heavy professional use, and doesn’t degrade under UV or repeated abrasion.
  • Pairs with existing carry setup: Compatible with Peak Design neck straps, slings, and Capture Clip simultaneously — adds wrist security to an existing shoulder carry without replacing it.

B&H Photo’s product description confirms the Clutch’s aluminum adjuster hardware and dual-point camera attachment, noting compatibility with all Peak Design Anchor-equipped straps for simultaneous use on a single camera body.

Best for: Freelance photographers and content creators who carry a camera in-hand during shoots and need reliable wrist security without slowing down between setups. Skip it if: Your shooting is primarily desk-based or tripod-mounted — a hand strap adds no benefit for stationary recording setups. Runs ~$38 open-box — check the current price before buying.
