The Duet 3Peak UV + CPL Filter Kit - Open Box, 37mm

$30.2
We love this kit because it keeps two of our favorite Gobe 3Peak (▲▲▲) camera filters in a compact, easy to access roll designed to save space, and we’re always all about the minimal setup. The UV filter is ideal for cutting out haze and sharpening your image while protecting your lens. The CPL filter blocks diffused light or sunlight that has been directly reflected toward your lens. Then when you rotate the CPL you can achieve settings that give you awesome color saturation and contrast. Both are made with Japanese optical glass and finished with 16 layers of Gobe’s Multi Resistant Coating which makes the filter scratch resistant and repels water and grease. Gobe as a company has a great mission. As photographers inspired by nature, they want to give back, so for every product sold they plant 5 trees in areas devastated by deforestation.

Urth (Gobe) Duet 3Peak UV + CPL Filter Kit — Practical Protection for a Growing Freelance Photography Business

The gist: A budget-friendly, open-box two-filter kit that protects your lens investment while giving outdoor and architecture shoots the glare control clients notice in final images.

  • Protects your income-generating gear: The UV filter adds a physical buffer over your lens glass, cutting the risk of a scratch or crack derailing a paid shoot.
  • CPL for outdoor client work: Cuts reflected glare from windows, water, and wet pavement while boosting saturation — a real difference-maker for real estate, architecture, or outdoor portrait clients.
  • Compact for a mobile kit bag: Both filters store in one slim roll, easy to carry between multiple shoot locations in a day.
  • Water/grease-resistant coating: The multi-resistant coating over the Japanese optical glass wipes clean quickly between setups, saving time on a tight shoot schedule.

Fstoppers' review of Urth's filter range described the build as "light but well-made" with minimal impact on image quality, while noting Urth's broader sustainability commitment of planting a tree with every purchase — a detail some clients notice and appreciate.

Best for: freelance or side-hustle photographers who need dependable lens protection and glare control without a premium price tag. Skip it if: you shoot mostly indoors where a CPL adds little value. Runs ~$30 — check the current price before buying.
