Our Review
Nomatic McKinnon Camera Cube Large — Organized gear, professional presence on every shoot
The gist: A structured, reconfigurable camera insert for remote workers and content creators who need their equipment organized, protected, and ready to deploy in any workspace.
- Compact professional footprint: At 11” H x 11” W x 5.5” D, the cube slots precisely into the McKinnon 25L Camera Pack, keeping your setup consolidated and commute-ready.
- Reliable gear protection: Compression-molded EVA foam shell provides rigid protection with minimal added bulk — cameras and lenses arrive at the client site or co-working space ready to use.
- Withstands daily workflow demands: Velex hook-and-loop liner is rated to withstand repeated long-term divider repositioning, holding up through daily packing and unpacking cycles.
- Customizable organization: Six total dividers (2 large left/right panels + 4 small 3-inch pieces), each hinged in the middle, adapt to any combination of bodies, lenses, or accessories as your projects change.
The Gearadical review of the McKinnon 25L system praised the cube’s modular flexibility but flagged that it is sold separately, meaning buyers pay $299.99 for the backpack and then an additional $69.99 for the large cube — a value complaint, not a quality one.
Best for: McKinnon 25L owners wanting rigid modular camera protection. Skip it if: Skip it if you do not own the Nomatic McKinnon 25L Camera Pack — the cube is sized and designed exclusively for that bag and has no stated compatibility with other packs. Runs ~$69.99 open box — check the current price before buying.
