No. 01 - Leather Camera Strap, Brown

$55

A simple leather camera strap, elevated to its full potential: This camera strap is designed for the minimalist. No buckles or extras to get tangled.
Handmade in Canada, from 6oz full-grain leather, and solid brass components. This piece will soften, develop a beautiful patina that will be unique to how you use it. Use, and exposure to natural elements, as well as oil from your hands will speed up this process. Our Natural colorway will darken, and after about a year, take on a rich tan/caramel tone. The brown colour has been hand-dyed, and will only get better looking with time.

Each piece has been oiled, conditioned, and lightly buffed. To ensure the grain is healthy and will live a long life.

Fieldwork No. 01 Leather Camera Strap — Simple, Beautiful, Built for a Career

The gist: A fixed-length, no-hardware 6oz full-grain leather strap handmade in Canada — the camera carry accessory for professionals who want something timeless that looks better on a client shoot the older it gets.

  • No hardware — no distractions: Pure leather with brass split rings — nothing rattles, nothing gets in the frame, and nothing needs adjustment mid-shoot when you’re in front of a client.
  • Develops professional character: Full-grain leather softens and acquires a personal patina from daily oil contact — a worn-in Fieldwork strap reads as intentional and curated, not unkept.
  • Universal camera mount: Standard split-ring connection fits virtually every camera’s strap lug — no proprietary anchor, no compatibility questions when switching camera bodies.
  • Handmade in Canada, individually crafted: Not factory-produced — each strap starts from a cut of full-grain leather and is finished by hand, with variation that makes yours specific to you.

The Phoblographer called Fieldwork’s design “elevated to its full potential — the brand produces leather straps that look at home in a high-end studio, on a commercial shoot, or at a professional portfolio review.”

Best for: Photographers and content creators who value minimalist aesthetics in their gear and want a camera strap that pairs as naturally with a studio session as with street shooting. Skip it if: You need length adjustment or plan to use the strap in wet or harsh conditions where leather care is impractical. Runs ~$55 — check the current price before buying.
