VND QuickLock Filter, iPhone 17 Pro / 2-5 Stops II
$90
Our QuickLock™ Variable ND (VND) II filter takes everything you love about the I and makes it more robust, with a sealed optical path that keeps dust off the glass combined with a stronger locking mechanism. It gives you the precise exposure control you need to create a moody, cinematic feel with natural motion blur, smooth transitions, and soft depth. It brings a moody, cinematic feel to bright scenes, making your shots look more crafted and less digital. The low-profile Control Dial makes fine adjustments fast and tactile, while built-in stops prevent cross-polarization for a smoother, more cinematic result. Unlike most mobile VNDs, ours delivers contrast-rich footage with no color shift so skin tones stay natural and blacks stay deep. It features our QuickLock™ mount system for fast and secure mounting to Moment Cases. Please note these filters ONLY work with a Moment Case iPhone 15 and newer.
Our Review
Moment VND QuickLock Filter (iPhone 17 Pro) — polish your personal-brand video without a camera upgrade
The gist: For anyone building a video-based side income or portfolio — LinkedIn clips, YouTube, client reels — this filter is the fastest way to make iPhone footage look shot on a real camera.
- Snap-on, no learning curve: Locks onto a Moment case instantly, so you can film professional-looking B-roll between meetings without setup time.
- 2-5 stops of adjustable ND: Lets you shoot at cinematic shutter speeds under office lighting or outdoor daylight without blown-out highlights.
- Durable aluminum build: Aerospace-grade housing holds up to being tossed in a work bag daily, not just occasional weekend use.
- Consistent, clean image at every setting: Built-in hard stops avoid the color-shifting X-pattern cheaper variable NDs produce, so client-facing footage looks consistent.
9to5mac's review of Moment's QuickLock VND system praised its optical-quality glass and laser-etched adjustment dial, calling it superior to bulkier cage-based filter rigs for solo creators.
Best for: remote workers and freelancers building a video portfolio or content side-hustle who already shoot on iPhone. Skip it if: you don't own a Moment case, or your work is mostly stills, not video. Runs ~$90 — check the current price before buying.
