VND QuickLock Filter, iPhone 18 Pro / 2-5 Stops II
$90
Our QuickLock™ Variable ND (VND) II filter takes everything you love about the I and makes it more robust, with a sealed optical path that keeps dust off the glass combined with a stronger locking mechanism. It gives you the precise exposure control you need to create a moody, cinematic feel with natural motion blur, smooth transitions, and soft depth. It brings a moody, cinematic feel to bright scenes, making your shots look more crafted and less digital. The low-profile Control Dial makes fine adjustments fast and tactile, while built-in stops prevent cross-polarization for a smoother, more cinematic result. Unlike most mobile VNDs, ours delivers contrast-rich footage with no color shift so skin tones stay natural and blacks stay deep. It features our QuickLock™ mount system for fast and secure mounting to Moment Cases. Please note these filters ONLY work with a Moment Case iPhone 15 and newer.
Our Review
Moment VND QuickLock Filter (2-5 Stops II) — a $90 upgrade for a video side-income
The gist: If you're building content-creator income on the side of your day job, this filter is the cheapest way to make iPhone footage look like it came off a real camera.
- Stepless 2-5 stop range: shoot outdoor talking-head or product video at a proper cinematic shutter speed instead of a harsh, jittery one.
- QuickLock mount: attaches and detaches in seconds, so you can switch between "professional client shoot" and "phone in your pocket" without extra gear fuss.
- Aerospace-grade aluminum housing: durable enough to survive being tossed in a bag between a commute and a shoot.
- Fit note: requires a Moment Case for iPhone 17 or newer — check compatibility before you buy.
Reviewing Moment's QuickLock VND system, 9to5mac called the press-and-lock attach process "hands-down the easiest" VND experience they'd tried, taking about two seconds to mount or remove.
Best for: professionals building a video/content skill or freelance side income who need better footage without a camera-bag budget. Skip it if: you don't already own a compatible Moment Case, or you shoot mostly indoors where ND control matters less. Runs ~$90 — check the current price before buying.
